Just months after the release of the uber successful iPad, Apple has announced the pending release of another major product, the iPhone 4. This upgrade to the already popular iPhone 3gs offers features not found on many devices today. Features like a front and rear camera, ideal for video conferencing. It also offers a much improved display that Apple is calling “Retina Display”. This feature shrinks down the size of pixels, allowing for more pixels on a single display. In doing this, the user sees an astonishingly crisp and clear picture, usually reserved for the more expensive televisions.
Perhaps the most anticipated feature offered on the new iPhone 4 is the introduction of multi tasking. This, which will also be available on the iPad via update, will allow you to run multiple apps simultaneously. This feature, which has been available on Android and other platforms for a while now was a feature many were hoping would be on the 3gs version. Now iPhone users can update their Facebook and Myspace without having to close out the application. Several other more useful possibilities are available as well. Also in the impressive list of features is a 5mp digital camera and the ability to record and edit video in HD. Organizing apps is now easier with the introduction of app folders. This is a nice feature for those with a cluttered desktop.
The iPhone 4 is available for pre order on June 15th, at $199 for the 16gb version and $299 for 32 gbs. We will have a more detailed review of the iPhone 4 when one becomes available to us. Until then, you can see one for yourself on www.apple.com.
So, the big questions are: Who wants an iPhone 4G and why? Sound off on the comments section. You just may win one from us soon!
