The EGO Semi Submarine

Whether you want to feel like James Bond or Jacques Cousteau (for the young ones, that is an old school ocean expert from my youth) South Korean Manufacturing Company, Raonhaje has just the thing to wet your nautical whistle!  EGO… the worlds first compact semi submarine.

No other watercraft can make you feel all the fun of snorkeling and keep you dry at the same time.  Blast your MP3s while you take control of the EGO’s 2 electrical podded propulsion drives.  That means it’s very maneuverable and efficient.  20mm Acrylic windows provides clear views of the surrounding area and room on the deck to catch a few rays.   Not sure how well this thing will float once Jenna decks it all out with Swarovski Crystals but the reflection off of them might make seeing out the window a little harder.

For a little electric semi submarine that could, it comes with some cool gear.

• LCD Monitoring System (for seeing topside)
• VHF 2 way Radio
• Depth Gauge (when you get in shallow water)
• Forward/Reverse switch
• Digital Pedal (closely resembles driving, so no throttle)
• Compass and clock
• 8 hour cruising/4 hour top speed (5 knots or 5.8 mph) that recharges in 6-10 hours so it can be ready for the next day’s adventure

Right now you can not buy it locally, nor individually since the first model is only being sold in bulk to resorts and other larger businesses.  They are coming out with another model for individual sale in October 2011 and are looking for dealers.  But just the concept and coolness factor makes me want to buy a lotto ticket so I can be ready when it does become available.  Who would like to join me?
