New Samsung 3D Glasses A Sight For Sore Eyes

By: (Senior Editor)

Watching Avatar in was one of the most memorable movie experiences of my life. The overwhelming success of the movie has led to a slew of movies and home theater equipment popping up everywhere. There are only a few people I know that did not enjoy the movie as much as I did, and all of those people happen to wear prescription glasses. Many eyeglass wearing movie goers reported headaches and eye strain trying to use the glasses provided at the theaters.

The new 3D technology has led to a new type of 3D glasses, and they are not so easy to wear over your prescription lenses. This causes a problem for those without perfect vision.  Our friends at have considered this and are offering a solution. Starting now, you can get 3D glasses in your favorite prescription. While this seems to be a rather expensive solution, it gives our near and far sighted friends the chance to enjoy the latest technology with us.

I think it’s a great concept. Very nice and considerate actually, but one that would be fairly pricey and unconventional. Unless of course they can somehow create them to look better than that photo above.

That being said, with 3D TV becoming the norm in the next year or two, why shouldn’t everyone have their very own custom 3D glasses right?

“Hun, the Simpsons are coming on. Have you seen my 3D glasses anywhere?”

I love the 3D experience. I’m still baffled by why the ones we get at the theatre can’t be supported by our home 3D sets. I understand that in the end it’s about the mighty dollar but prescription 3D glasses to watch TV at home? I don’t know….

For those of us who wear prescription glasses, these are great. Not only for 3D viewing but they actually help those who are colorblind, to see many colors they normally can not see. I would really need these.

I would love these glasses as i have a really hard time wearing regular 3-D glasses over my own. I can’t see a brick wall, in front of me, without my glasses so these would be fierce!

Sorry, don’t trust the technology, never will. As a visually challenged person with massive migraines, my health is WAY more important than some fad for the film industry… Besides, there’s plenty of evidence around about how bad 3D is for your eyes.
