Microsoft’s New XBOX 360 Is Prettiest 360 Yet

The Electronics Entertainment Expo recently launched at the Los Angeles Convention Center. E3, as it’s called, ran from June 15th to the 17th and was the premiere event for the video game community. It was here where the year’s best games and accessories were announced and shown off for the world to see. To celebrate the big day, Microsoft unveiled their new Xbox 360 and 360 Kinect.
The new Xbox 360 is by far the best looking 360 to date. A slightly smaller frame sports a sharp glossy black case (gotta be thinking fingerprints.) Sleek futuristic lines and a hi-tech vent area that give it a futuristic “space ship” look. The new model offers a touch screen interface, much like the PS3, and is a much quieter device than the current iterations. Other features are the new internal hard drive, which will not be compatible with current Xbox 360 hard drives, and a port for the 360 Kinect.
The 360 Kinect, aka Project Natal, is a motion sensor interface for the Xbox 360 that Microsoft developed in answer to the popular Nintendo Wii. Microsoft hopes to lead in the motion sensor control arena by offering better games and superior graphics and features than the Wii. So now Xbox users can jump into the action of their favorite games by kicking and slashing their way through enemies, instead of just button mashing.
Both the new Xbox 360 and 360 Kinect offer the stylish gloss black finish, which will allow you to proudly display them in your home theater set up. Prettiest, it certainly is. Pricing in this economy, and whether it fares better than its constantly-breaking-down predecessor are yet to be seen. I hope to get a more thorough review for you guys as soon as these glossies become available. So what do you guys think? Sound off on the comments below and we just might give one away when we review it!
