Computex Brings The Bling

The 30th annual Computex Taipei trade show is underway in beautiful Taipei, Taiwan. The computer and technology tradeshow is the largest of its kind in Asia, and the second largest in the world, next to CeBIT in Germany. All of the top movers and shakers in the computer industry are in attendance to see what is going to be the “Hot Items” in the computer industry for the year. While the majority of the products showcased are intended for the general consumer, a few products on display are clearly intended for the more “elitist” buyer.
Acer is displaying a special Ferrari edition of their Liquid E Smartphone. The Ferrari Liquid E sports a 768mhz Snapdragon processor and runs on Android’s 2.1 operating system. These specs are identical to the standard Liquid E Smarphone that Acer released earlier in the year, but this version leaves its competition in the dust with its authentic Red Ferrari F1 paint job and matching Bluetooth headset. Rounding out the features are a 5mp camera and 3.5 inch touch display.
Are Ferraris’ not your cup of tea? Then you might want to take a look at ASUS computers new Lamborghini edition VX6 and VX7. 11 inches and 15 inches, respectively, these new high-end laptops come equipped with Bang & Olfsen sound systems, USB 3.0, and NVIDIA Ion 2 graphics cards. And of course, any piece of equipment bearing the name Lamborghini is going to look like a work of art. Sleek contour lines, a beautiful paint job, and the trademark Lamborghini hood ornament adorn both models.
No pricing or release information is available at this time for either device. But be sure to keep checking here for information on these and other awesome new gadgets being announced at Computex 2010.
