Jenna Gonzalez
Editor-In-Chief
Our Editor in Chief hails from New York. Always the style maven, she has worked over ten years in the fashion, beauty, runway and marketing industry, and is currently serving as a senior buying executive for one of the top fashion retailers in the world. Jenna’s love for tech toys and gadgets started in high school where she spent hours doodling up futuristic “Fashion Forward Devices.” Who knew she could be such a dork? She holds an MBA from Lehman College; A Masters in Global Fashion Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology; And is currently finishing her Masters in International Relations from Columbia University. Today she relishes balancing the thrill of new technology and respecting the value of tradition.
Aside from tacking onto her own fashion blog, she has contributed heavily to many publications in the past both as an editor and as a ghost-writer. She recently completed a stint as Contributing Editor at pocketnow.com where she delivered a fresh female perspective to an otherwise male dominated space. She welcomes challenges and loves tasks that allow her to flex her creative muscles. When she’s not jetsetting all over the world, Jenna enjoys yoga, kickboxing, creating exciting new (or disastrous) recipes, spending quality time with her large crazy family, and increasing her massive collection of Japanese bonsai, silk robes and oriental weaponry among other things. What’s her favorite piece of technology? Wouldn’t you like to know!
Tariq Bamadhaj
Senior Editor
Tariq started out his writing escapade over 2 years ago when he was having an issue with his then Eten Glofiish X500. Having to scour through the internet just to find a guide or reading through 108 pages of a forum’s thread only to learn that you are on an old version of the software made him want to start a site to solve that. Thus Eten Blog was born. Then came a stint with Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine. Followed almost concurrently with My Today Screen which he co-founded. Then he went under the radar for almost a year to hone his skills and immerse himself in the ever-changing world of technology. Now, he is more ready than ever to contribute to this ever-growing community and share his thoughts. We are very proud to have him on our team.
Tariq enjoys everything tech, particularly those in the Smartphone category. A graduate of the National University of Singapore (yes, he comes from Singapore) with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, he decided to pursue a career in the telecommunications industry. Tariq prides himself in providing readers with reviews that matter. Not just the specs and functions of a device but more of the user-experience and how to get the most out of it. When not writing, he works for a national carrier in the telecommunications field where he right-fits users with their needed technology. On his spare time, you’ll find him toiling on his front yard, trying to create the perfect Zen garden!
Edward Jackson
Senior Editor

Ed Jackson has been in the entertainment industry for over fifteen years. Having hands on experience in the world of music production, he started back in ’93 as a sound and lighting technician for some of the most upscale clubs in New York, and continues to be a presence in the recording and performance industry. A native of long Island NY, he spends his time overseeing production lines for a local company by day, and lending his production skills to performance venues by night. He loves the sunny beach and enjoys trips to wine country. However, nothing tops his love for audio and video technology. A graduate in Graphic Design, he has also lent a hand in the production of several independent feature films and videos.
In his spare time, you’ll find him dissecting the newest equipment and putting it to the test, as well as shopping for the latest home entertainment systems. Having had extensive knowledge of the public relations world, he completely understands the need to communicate information to others in the most real, down to earth way…which is what you will always get from Ed…his honest opinions, reviews, experiences and life observations. We are more than happy to bring this quirky, funny, offbeat personality to the team. This rocker may view life through rose-colored lenses, but as his friends always say “Ed…he just gets it.”
Nate Nelson
Contributing Editor
Nate discovered his love of the written word at a very young age, and has wanted to be a writer since he was first able to set realistic goals for himself. His previous career goals included wanting to be an astronomer, a cowboy, a paleontologist, and a cartoonist among other things. While none of those are technically out of reach at this point in Nate’s life, he has narrowed his focus on his first, true love: writing. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Nate holds an educational and professional background in journalism, including a high-water run as the managing editor of his college newspaper. By day he works as both a PR manager for a fast-growing tech company and as a payroll clerk for an electrical contractor. He is also working on the second draft of a book, which is coming slowly but he swears he will get it done. He also loves spending time with his wife, his dog/child substitute, and loved ones. Nate is an omnivorous reader, a major sports fan, a history freak, and a travel aficionado.
Bill Armstrong
Contributing Editor

Two words can be used to perfectly describe Bill’s personality: Focused daydreamer. He has had a wide variety of career paths over the years. After a short stint in the U.S. Army, Bill went to work as a restaurant manager. Learning he didn’t want to work with food the rest of his life, he took a position as manager for a private security firm in Portland, OR. His love of music and pop culture then led him to a position as a security provider for several large nightclubs and music venues in the Portland area. After several years in security, Bill’s love of gadgets and technology got the best of him, and Bill took a position as manager for an electronics retail store, where he spent his days playing with toys and gadgets. Since then Bill has worked as a Remote Technician for a major computer manufacturer, and believes he has found his home as the IT Manager for an up and coming Tech company.
Bill’s passions include building and repairing computers (particularly home theater PCs), spending time with his fiancé, two beautiful daughters, and playing with the newest technology.
